About the project
A mathematics and programming competition for high-school students — the 2025/2026 season.
The Serbian Mathematical Society, the University of Belgrade Faculty of Mathematics and the Student Union of Mathematicians “SUM” organised “HS Algorithm” for the fourth time. The competition tests knowledge of mathematics and informatics, develops team spirit and introduces high-school students to the Faculty of Mathematics.
The online qualification round took place on 27 December 2025. The highest-ranked teams advanced to the final held at the Faculty of Mathematics on 25 January 2026. Teams solved eight paper-based tasks in three hours, competing in categories A and B.

Frequently asked questions
Basic knowledge of mathematics and informatics acquired in primary and secondary school is sufficient. The tasks are primarily intended for third- and fourth-year high-school students, but most are logic-based and range from introductory to more demanding problems.
