About the project
The first online MATF Hackathon — 24 hours to tackle the problem of air pollution.
The first MATF Hackathon was held online on 3 and 4 April 2021. More than 200 participants across 61 teams applied, with the ten best teams from five technical faculties advancing to the final.
The theme was air pollution. Competitors developed software that predicts air quality from meteorological and derived parameters. The winning “Tarabići” team — Pavle Šoškić, Nikola Maksić, Marko Skakun and Đorđe Marjanović — built an application capable of predicting pollution up to ten days ahead. They received 100,000 dinars and a paid internship at Endava.
The “Crveno pivo” team placed second, while “Flamungosi” placed third. The competition was supported by Endava, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Sedecom and other project partners.
